During the dry season one of the smaller lakes near Pokhara, Nepal all but empties. While the water levels are down a number of people make their living digging up sand and gravel for local construction projects - largely to accommodate trekkers. I arrived for the first time at the end of the dry season, just before the lake would fill up again over the monsoon. This is very much a work in progress and I'm scheduled to return for an extended period of time to work with the people of the lake and to document their lives. Namaste. Byron
